We at NOS believe that high performance is about much more than just earning straight-A’s and winning championship trophies; it’s about the healthy pursuit of bigger goals, deeper goals. We work to create a culture that fosters positive, life-changing experiences which help students further refine their personalities and reach their full potential.
The NOS Athletics Department is dedicated to providing student-athletes with a rich co-curricular program that encourages our students to grow as individuals and leaders by experiencing the importance of being part of a team.
Our comprehensive Athletics Programme provides access and opportunity for our student athletes to be role models, leaders, open-minded decision makers. It focuses on sportsmanship, healthy lifestyle habits and safe exercise protocols, and emphasises commitment and loyalty to the team, school pride, leadership, and fair play.
High Performance, Team Spirit and Sportsmanship are what NOS Athletics are all about
- It is not about competing with others (whether from our school or other schools);
- It is about competing with one’s own self, pushing one’s own boundaries and challenging one’s own abilities, to go farther and higher
- It’s about enjoying sports
- It’s about staying healthy
- It’s about self-discipline
- It’s about respecting reasonable authority
- It’s about commitment
- It’s about encouraging and supporting others
- It’s about being the best athlete that you can be

The NOS Annual Swimming Championship
While NOS does not have a swim team or a swimming pool, for safety reasons, it holds an annual Swimming Championship, hosted by our friends at the Orthodox Club. This is a fun family event to encourage our students who do engage in this sport. All students are invited to register to participate in one of a number of races, for different level swimmers, from beginners to more advanced.
