Art rooms are present in every stage (1-3), (4-5), (6-8) and (9-12). They are used for art classes and art clubs and they are all provided with basic art supplies such as paper, a variety of brushes and paints, dry and water colors, pastels markers, etc. Art rooms are also provided with materials from the nature to bring students closer to it and to show them connections to the world around them.
Guided with NOS vision, mission, and aims, our art classes are designed to help students develop a number of motor, language and social skills and inventiveness and we also teach students techniques necessary for their academic work such as color, layout and balance.
In our art classes and clubs, we focus on introducing students to world art, great artists in history and contemporary artists and their works to enhance their cultural awareness and help them appreciate similarities and differences in people, traditions and regions.
Safety and health are equally important in our approach to teaching art. Our art rooms are designed and arranged to provide a safe and enjoyable working environment for all students to work together and produce art works capable of competing in national and international competitions.
To inspire students, motivate them and brighten up the school corridors, classrooms, libraries and offices, students’ paintings, murals, wall art and graffities are used to transform the school environment and to raise awareness on a variety of topics.
