Admission & Registration
NOS has a detailed Admissions Policy that follows the laws, rules and regulations of the Jordanian Ministry of Education regarding admission and registration. Below are the main points mentioned in it. A copy of the policy is also available at the Admissions Office for those interested in reading it:
Admission Age
Students born between January 1 and December 31 of the same year are admitted to the same grade.
Based on the Jordanian Ministry of Education regulations:
- The minimum age for a child to be admitted to KG1 is 3 years and 8 months by August 31 of the desired enrollment year.
- The minimum age for a child to be admitted to KG2 is 4 years and 8 months by August 31 of the desired enrollment year.
- The minimum age for a child to be admitted to Grade 1 is 5 years and 8 months by August 31 of the desired enrollment year, and the maximum age for a child to be admitted to Grade 1 is 9 years.
- The same minimum age requirement formula applies to all consequent years, in line with the Jordanian MOE admission rules and regulations.
Registration of Current Students
Procedures for registration of current students for the current year are as follows:
- The school sends an official email asking all current NOS Parents to confirm whether or not they wish to register their children for the next by signing an online electronic contract (on the NOS Learning Management System) after reading all its attached documents, which are also sent to all parents by NOS email. This is to help the school estimate how many seats are available for admission of new students.
- Parents who do not sign the Electronic School Contract by the set deadline are considered disinterested in registering their children at NOS for the next school year.
