Model United Nations (MUN), is a simulation of the UN, where students attend conferences as representatives of countries from all around the world to discuss pressing political, social, economical and judicial matters from different regions of the world in a variety of forums. These matters are debated, and resolutions to solve them are drafted and submitted by the delegates. This experience gives the participants an idea of how such matters are dealt with in the United Nations.

The MUN Club helps students develop their leadership, research, debate and negotiation skills and promotes global citizenship by following the UN model.   

NOSMUN & Junior NOSMUN

The National Orthodox School Model United Nations Club (NOSMUN) was founded in 2006 by a handful of NOS High School students. It has since made multiple remarkable achievements over the past decade, from club members earning countless Best Delegate awards for their outstanding performances in conferences, both nationally and internationally, to organising the first Annual NOSMUN Conference in 2012.

The NOSMUN Conference, which is fully organised by a team of NOS Students, with minimal supervision, has become one of the largest and most popular conferences of its kind in Jordan, with the participation of more than 400 from a number of schools, including some students who fly in from abroad just to participate in it.

NOSMUN Membership

NOSMUN club  has more than 100 members.

Students interested in becoming NOSMUN members can apply to Junior NOS MUN starting Grade 8.

At the beginning of each year, an announcement is sent to all Students (Grades 8 and up)  and their Parents through their NOS emails, inviting interested students to register for NOSMUN training, which is conducted by older, more experienced NOS MUN members. After a number of training sessions, each student’s performance is evaluated according to set criteria and membership results are announced.
