Our Mission

The National Orthodox School AlAshrafiyeh is one of the institutions of the Orthodox Educational Society. Our mission is to serve the children of the surrounding community, specifically, and the nation at large in the field of education, so as to build active and engaged learners who possess life skills in communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity, with an emphasis on personal, cultural, civic values and sense of belonging. Based on this foundation, we educate our students on how to learn, rather than what to learn; by providing a safe, positive, and stimulating environment characterized by challenging experiences and led by an open-minded, knowledgeable, positive educational staff who believe that learning is a lifelong approach. It is done within an effective and distinguished community and national engagement.

General Objectives of The National Orthodox School AlAshrafiyeh:

1. To emotionally, ethically, and intellectually guide the learners and develop their social spirit to become capable of achieving harmony and positive change in their country and society.
2. To develop the learners’ cooperative, initiative, and leadership qualities in order to establish cultural and human values and concepts.
3. To assist the learners in building a balanced and integrated personalities for positive engagement with their community.
4. To promote the learners’ physical, sensory, and motor skills to achieve holistic balance in physical, emotional, and intellectual aspects.
5. To develop the learners’ self-learning skills to enjoy education to determine how to learn not what to learn.
6. To provide the learners with knowledge and skills to develop a spirit of scientific research, experimentation, innovation, creativity, and the ability to connect and apply knowledge to life.
7. To prepare students to be qualified educationally and scientifically, and enable them to integrate with the rapid changes and advancements in science and technology to use them in their practical life.
8. To promote a sports spirit in the learners, so they become civilized individuals who accept defeat or failure with humility and take pride in success without arrogance.
9. To promote aesthetic and artistic sensibilities in the learners, helping them to love and appreciate beauty and have the ability to create and be creative.
10. To acquire digital skills and apply them in their life to enrich their learning and optimize the values of their society.
11. To educate learners in various types of thinking skills, to succeed in life, face challenges, and solve real-life problems creatively.
